In this talk, an introduction to isogeometric tearing and interconnecting (IETI) and numerical results in 2D and 3D will be presented. Isogeometric tearing and interconnecting is the adaption of finite element tearing and interconnecting (FETI) for isogeometric analysis and belongs to the group of non-overlapping domain decomposition methods. We will focus on the dual-primal variant (IETI-DP), its realization and appropriate choices for preconditioning. The talk is concluded with numerical examples, which confirm the robustness of the method for the Poisson equation with respect to jumping diffusion coefficients across the patchinterfaces.
